Job Title: Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable Focus (Hybrid) Location: Grand Rapids, MI Work Arrangement: Hybrid Reports To: Controller Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Grand Rapids, MI. This hybrid role offers a blend of responsibilities across Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Reconciliations, and Reporting , with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable . Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus) Prepare, post, and reconcile customer invoices and payments Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts Collaborate with internal departments and customers to resolve billing discrepancies Maintain customer account records and credit memos Assist with AR reporting, cash applications, and month-end closing activities General Ledger Prepare journal entries and assist in monthly close processes Support the reconciliation of accounts and variance analysis Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring entries Reconciliations Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Reporting & Support Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports Support audit requests and internal control documentation Participate in ad hoc projects and system/process improvement initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2 years of accounting experience, ideally with strong exposure to AR Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and within a team in a hybrid setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Why Join Us?
