Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-Time Location: Grand Rapids Area About the Role: Emmanuel Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time RN to join our interdisciplinary hospice care team. This role provides skilled nursing care, education, and support to patients and families across multiple care settings. As a part time nurse, you will assist the nursing team with assessments, treatment planning, and interventions, while ensuring continuity of care across our service area. Benefits: Schedule: Flexible part-time days Competitive pay Mileage reimbursement at the federal rate Self-care coaching EAP Company tech provided (laptop/iPad, phone) Generous time off including PTO and Sick Time package Employer paid Life and Short-term Disability Bereavement leave that allows for support of you and your family 403(b) plan with match Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs Develop, evaluate, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Provide skilled nursing care including wound dressings, IVs, blood draws, and catheter care Educate patients, families, and caregivers on symptom management, disease processes, and the hospice philosophy Coordinate with physicians, hospice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exemplary end-of-life care Assist with bereavement counseling and provide emotional support to families and caregivers Perform urgent need visits and provide post-mortem care, including pronouncement of death and family support Supervise and evaluate Hospice Aide services, including periodic on-site visits Ensure compliance with Emmanuel Hospice policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Travel within the service area to patient homes and healthcare facilities Qualifications & Experience: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan BSN preferred, Associate degree/diploma required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; 1 year in acute care or hospice preferred Experience with Electronic Medical Records required Strong communication and collaboration skills Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds Comfortable working in varied environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilities Frequent travel required within the Emmanuel Hospice service area Come As You Are: At Emmanuel Hospice, you’ll be part of a team that feels like family—where every voice is heard, and every heart matters.
