Maintenance Tech 2:

Notions Marketing is fast-moving, customer-obsessed company focused on bringing artists and crafters around the globe the products they need to create their next work of art.

Both our administrative offices and our warehouse facilities are located in the Madison Square District of Grand Rapids. We stock everything from pencils and pens to craft paper, googly eyes, yarn, scissors, and anything in between. We work hard and have fun while we do it!

We are actively looking for hands-on individual to join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Tech 2: on 2nd: Shift:. Day to day tasks will range from running through PM check lists to repairing our conveyor system to rearranging and building warehouse shelving to working on interior and exterior ground and facility repair.

Here's what you will be doing---:

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of our warehouse conveyor system including, mechanical equipment and some interior/exterior building up-keep. This position will execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities and follow all appropriate safety practices. The individual in this position will work under direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and follow work procedures to ensure all conveyor systems are operational.

Essential Functions...:
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance of conveyors and other equipment including forklifts, compressors, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyor issues
- Respond to conveyor and equipment breakdowns
- Assist Building and Grounds with general facilities upkeep as needed
- May be required to perform janitorial duties
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities...:
- Extensive mechanical aptitude with proven experience in industrial maintenance, auto mechanics, HVAC, electrical, or other skilled maintenance/mechanics field
- Industrial maintenance experience including conveyor repair and PM preferred
- Experience operating forklift, scissor lift, or other heavy equipment preferred
- Comfortable working at heights up to or exceeding 8 feet
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift (8 to 10 hours)
- Ability to lift between 40-60 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stoop, bend, twist, grip and stand on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential early morning, evening and/or Saturday hours

Preferred Education...:
- Some college, vocational training or relevant certification preferred

Minimum Qualifications...:
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Six-month of building repair or maintenance experience
Hourly pay range for this position is $22 - $29.
