Job Description:
ProFarm Group Michigan Manufacturing, a leading global provider
of biopesticides for agriculture, turf and ornamental, home and
garden, and water applications. Installs and repairs electrical
systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of
industrial machinery and equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES AND
DUTIES:Essential Functions:Repairs, calibrates, and tests
instruments, like voltmeters, ammeters, resistance bridges,
galvanometers, temperature bridges, and temperature controlling as
well as recording gauges instruments, using jewelers' tools,
electricians' tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.Tests
instruments for resistance, voltage plus other characteristics,
using potentiometer, voltage divider plus other testing
devices.Disassembles instruments, using hand tools and additionally
examines parts for defects.Measures, cuts, and fits glass for
meters instruments, using glass cutter.Repairs or replaces
defective parts of instruments, using hand tools, soldering
equipment, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and
dividers.Reassembles instruments, following circuit diagrams using
jewelers' tools.Tests new repaired instruments, using test
board.May operate lathe drill press to make replacement parts.May
plan, construct, and assemble test panels for experimental
production testing.May keep records on repair calibration of
instruments.Thorough knowledge and interpretation of
Instrument/Electrical manuals, drawings, specification layout and
blueprints.Special skills in installation and maintenance of
Instrument/ Electrical equipment and systems.Other Duties:Other
duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Education:Associates Degree (AA) or
equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred. Or
4+ years related experience and/or training, or a combination of
experience and education.Minimum of 4+ years' experience in plant
process operations.Essential Physical and Mental
Requirements:Physical Requirements:Ability to walk, bend, stoop,
kneel, twist, turn, reach, lift, and climbAbility to climb ladders
and to be at heights of 80 100 feet.Ability to lift up to
75lbsAbility and dexterity to manipulate various size components
from valves to small electrical switches to computer
keyboards.Ability to work extended hours when required.Ability to
work outdoors in all types of weather.Mental Requirements:Ability
to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload
priorities.Ability to work well under pressure.Ability to have
strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential in this
position.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to
learn new software/new information, when necessary, in order to
complete job duties thoroughly.Ability to have a high level of
proficiency of the English language, both in verbal and written
form.Travel:Ability to travel by car domestically 1% 5% of the
