Job SummaryResponsible for analyzing, monitoring, and trending the existing market and competitive landscape and providing support for strategic initiatives within the employer solutions and government markets. Partners with the business to turn data into critical information and knowledge. C ombine financial, market and technology analysis skills to help identify potential areas of opportunity and risk and drive profitable growth. Works with different data mining solutions to gather market and business intelligence, generate reports and provide actionable interpretations to stakeholders. Responsible for developing and maintaining set core of deliverables as well as supporting ad-hock requests to support strategic initiatives. Demonstrate strong communication skills and expertise in working with and presenting to various stakeholders including executive team members. Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and it is a trusted advisor to leaders and department team members.Remote work for this position may be approved based on policy and business considerations.Essential Functions

  • Investigate how industry, customer and competitor dynamics and external trends impact our business.
  • Develop content in the form of presentations, word documents, market and financial models and other deliverables that incorporate key research findings and implications to be consumed by a diverse group of stakeholders: from executive leadership, to sales, to product owners.
  • Contribute to major corporate deliverables including but not limited to board of directors presentations and annual business planning process.
  • Build models of key competitive/business metrics, e.g., market sizing across lines of business, market share.
  • Provides analytics that can turn data into critical information in understanding a systemic business problem.
  • Routinely participates in webinars and other educational resources to enhance understanding of current developments in healthcare environment.
  • Independently able to provide troubleshooting, maintenance, support, oversight and technical guidance.
  • Possesses knowledge of workflows in multiple business areas to support data development, analytics and quality improvement activities. Guides less experience Business Intelligence Developers in gaining workflow knowledge.
  • Designs, codes, configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents, and maintains self-service reporting assets and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) for the purpose of populating data warehouse assets and sending data outside of data warehouse assets.
  • Translates and documents business program needs into a technical solution using visuals and creating data sources, metrics and automation. Visuals, data sources and automation will be created from electronic health record (EHR) reporting tools and databases, (ie Clarity, Caboodle, Epic Registries, Epic Extract Framework, Custom Radar SQL metrics, Data Links, and Predictive Model configuration), cloud reporting systems (ie Snowflake), and other EHR agnostic tools (ie SSIS, GoAnywhere, Tableau, PowerBI, etc).
  • Presents that technical solution to key stakeholders.
  • Performs job-related duties in conformance with IS standards and initiates and leads team through new/improved standards.
  • Coaches less experienced Business Intelligence Developers.
  • Participates in Agile ceremonies determining the nature and scope of project activities and processes to be developed or modified, working across teams to communicate development dependencies to accomplish final solution.
  • Works with data architects as the architect designs relational and dimensional data models to verify that the model meets the use cases and aligns with strategic direction.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
    • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, liberal arts, computer science, application programming, software development, information systems, database administration, mathematics, engineering, or other related field
