POSITION SUMMARY:
The Receiving Clerk position within Carlton Technologies, Inc. is
responsible for receiving all of Carlton's product lines, including
barcode scanning and data capture devices and wireless enterprise
mobile devices and device parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or
measures items of incoming and shipments to verify information
against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, orders, or other
records
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items,
records shortages, and corresponds with Purchasing Department to
rectify damages and shortages
- Receives in service RMA's, verifies shipment, creates service
case tickets, and assigns ship dates
- Data entry of receipt into ERP/CRM system
- Delivery of all product to corresponding departments in a
timely fashion
- May operate hi-lo to move or hoist shipments from receiving
platform to storage or work area
- As necessary, may assist with matching up preliminary case
processing sheets to the actual unit and its related Customer
Service Report
- As necessary, may assist with entering into ERP/CRM system the
final Customer Service Report and placing it with the finished
goods to be picked up for shipping
- Supports 5S
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Desired Skills & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree, GED, required
along with 1-2 years of related shipping/receiving experience
and/or training. In addition, candidates should possess the
following qualifications:
- Must be able to count and use simple math
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and
effectively deal with tight deadlines and pressure, planning out
each day and staying focused on tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a candidate
who is not afraid to ask questions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with
high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently without
supervision
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably NetSuite)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and its related products
- Reliable, dependable attendance is essential
- Team oriented and ability to work in a fast paced
environment
- Willingness to learn other functions and expand role, if
needed
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work is normally performed in a light industrial
environment
- Must be able to lift 30# without assistance on a regular
basis
- Must be able to climb ladders and reach above head level
- Must be able to speak and understand English
