Claims Coordinator Job DescriptionAlera Group is seeking a
skilled Claims Coordinator to join our Property & Casualty team in
Grand Rapids, MI.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the claims process for
property and casualty clients.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and internal
teams to ensure a smooth and efficient claims experience.
- Process claims documentation, maintain accurate records, and
prepare reports for insurance carriers and clients.
- Work closely with insurance carriers to facilitate the claims
process, including follow-up, negotiations, and resolution of
issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company
policies.
- Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in claims
processing.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients, exercising independent
judgment and decision-making.
- Support claims process through research and
expertise.Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a claims handling or
insurance-related role within Property and Casualty.
- Possess or willing to obtain a Property & Casualty
license.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance
coverages.
- Understanding of proper management of workers' compensation
claims.
- Good customer service and interpersonal and analytical
