PURPOSE The Pricing Analyst will apply distinctive problem-solving
skills to support sales growth and profitability across the broad,
global portfolio of Herman Miller and Knoll brand products. This
key pricing team member will use data and analytics to support the
execution of the global pricing strategy through both traditional
and innovative pricing approaches. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Utilizes
varied tools and methods of analysis to provide data and key
insights that will guide pricing-related decision-making within the
organization. Supports development and evaluation of complex data
models in collaboration with pricing manager, product managers,
channel performance, finance, and other stakeholders to drive
profitable sales growth, achieve sales and margin targets, and
manage the product lifecycle. Creates, oversees, and monitors
pricing tools, models, databases, and other components of relevant
pricing processes to inform innovative strategic pricing concepts
and strategic pricing decisions. Designs and/or supports the
development of meaningful segmentations and corresponding pricing
strategies across various regions, markets, and channels. Produces
analysis that will be used to identify the market, product,
customer, channel, and region opportunities and downsides in the
context of pricing, sales growth, and profitability. Support the
development of pricing change recommendations in collaboration with
the pricing manager. Engages with sales forecasting and analysis,
finance, and contracting teams to build and develop internal
insights and analysis capabilities to assess product performance.
Provides pricing support for product development programs
throughout the New Product Commercialization Process. Support
pricing planning and forecasting activities, including price
increases and SKU rationalization. Work with product management and
other business systems teams to implement pricing changes. Plays an
active role in the execution of mitigation activities in response
to events such as competitor strategies, price erosion, and/or
commodity pressures. Supports internal requests for pricing
analysis and guidance. Monitors the competitive landscape in terms
of pricing and promotions. Conduct qualitative and quantitative
market research related to the competitive landscape and industry
benchmarking as needed. Applies and maintains best practices for
insights, policies, concepts, and tools. QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Business
Analytics, or a related field. 1-2+ years of business experience
with pricing, analytical, and reporting experience, or equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience. Skills and
Abilities: The candidate must have particular strength in financial
and business modeling, pricing and commercial diagnostics, and
sales & operations. Prior experience in pricing, business
analytics, and/or finance roles. Relevant experience in developing
pricing tools, models, databases, systems, and other components of
relevant pricing processes preferred. Proven track record of
problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, define and
resolve problems and complete projects in a timely manner.
Analytical skills necessary to analyze problems and draw insights /
derive implications from analyses. Ability to translate data into
meaningful descriptive graphs and visuals. Exceptional
communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work with
