Description:This is a part-time role that works with the LOOP
Program, which provides elementary and middle school kids a safe,
fun place to learn about themselves and the world around them. LOOP
is free in the Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) and offers
academic support (tutoring, homework assistance, etc.) by certified
teachers. The program also has an array of virtual youth enrichment
activities including recreation, arts, and cultural activities,
virtual field trips, and more. Loop is funded by the 21st Century
Grant. The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids currently oversees nine
Loop site in the GRPS schools.OUR CULTURE:Guiding Principles

members-front-line, management, full- and part-time-and volunteers

SUMMARY:The Activity Leader will assist in the planning,
developing, and implementing of activities for Loop programs. This
position requires face-to-face leadership in this program. Must be
available to work Monday through Thursday, afterschool hours.

developing and leading daily lesson plansActively engages with

teamPerforms any other functions deemed to be necessary for the
smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids
AssociationCOMPENSATION$13.78 - $17.23 Non-Exempt; Part Time (up to

Membership!Requirements:QUALIFICATIONSThree to six months childcare
related experience; or equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience required. Ability to interact with people
of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Working knowledge
of computers and experience with a variety of software
applications.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONBlood Borne
Pathogen trainingCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
required within the first 60 daysFirst Aid Certification required
within the first 60 daysAED-Oxygen Certification required within
