Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading the company to achieve world class levels of employee product and process quality, product lead-time and operational efficiency and cost. This will be accomplished by developing a strong continuous improvement culture and process. This position will also oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency; ensures the manufacturing engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively and is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Model and champion our leadership qualities (live IPM values, chart the course, energize others and raise the bar). Lead the quality, manufacturing engineering, and continuous improvement organizations. Work with the Leadership Team to establish direction, priorities and goals for key corporate metrics in quality, manufacturing engineering, lead-time, and cost reduction. Identify and implement industry best practices across the company to exceed corporate quality, lead-time, and cost goals. Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel. Develop and help implement training plans for quality, manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement. Responsible for overseeing job assignments including establishing and maintaining schedules and assisting in the coordination of needed resources. Recommend and lead projects to improve departmental quality, value and processes. Establish annual accountabilities and deliverables for staff. Prepare and execute performance and value based evaluations for staff. Comply with all safety policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be willing to be "hands on" and work in a team environment. Must possess both excellent oral and written skills. Able to work effectively with and at all levels of the organization. Must have a proven change agent and track record of continuous improvement results. Knowledgeable with MRP or other related systems. Accomplished computer and system skills including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SolidWorks. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Requires BS degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years related experience is desirable. Prior manufacturing leadership experience preferred. Experience with basic manufacturing philosophies, with emphasis on QRM or Lean. Experience with tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Analysis and FMEA.Job Type: Full-timePay: $52,739.75 - $118,399.88 per yearBenefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceSchedule: 8 hour shift
