Summary

This position provides prompt, accurate and courteous service support & consultation to our clients on all lines of employee benefits coverages, communication, and benefits technology. This position is strategic in nature and will be a lead consultant and primary point of contact for clients. The selected candidate will be experienced and have an expertise in consulting clients on plan design, renewal negotiations and vendor selection along with additional service timeline projects. Selected candidate will have autonomy in approach and work schedule with latitude to choose location where work is performed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage overall client relationship, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, servicing, renewal, marketing, business placement and benchmarking
  • Be a source of knowledge regarding communication and benefit technology requirements and processes
  • Participation in team growth, mentoring, training, and development
  • All client deliverables meet timeliness and quality standards
  • Use discretion to analyze the needs of current and prospective clients and evaluate products and strategies based upon each client's financial status, risk tolerance, needs, and objectives
  • Develop Marketing RFP and use independent judgment to provide advice and recommendations (advantages and disadvantages) to current and prospective clients on benefit plans. Make recommendations based on understanding of client strategic plan and objectives
  • Design and conduct best practices throughout consulting year, including data analysis, financial projections and overall strategic planning on both a long- and short-term basis
  • Manage implementation process and facilitate open enrollment meetings.
  • Provide on-going guidance to clients regarding the Affordable Care Act and other compliance matters governing the insurance industry; including but not limited to contract changes, client disclosure requirements, and summary plan documents. Ensure recommendations conform to laws and regulations
  • Manage client renewal process - forecast renewal costs and estimate financial impact of plan design changes based on claim review and utilization data; compare to external benchmarks and make recommendations
  • Engage in new business development by being a knowledgeable
    Consultant with Customer Service and HR experience
    • Maximize client retention; includes developing and enhancing tools and resources offered by Acrisure and managing the utilization of tools by client

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In addition, the individual must possess strong analytical, strategic planning, communication and listening skills. Also, the individual should have strong project management skills and technical expertise in 1 or more areas.       Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a Four-year college degree (Bachelor's Degree) or more than 5 years of experience where the individual dealt with self-funding strategies and program management. In addition, this individual must possess a Life and Health License.

      Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook Explorer and web-based applications; and ability to learn additional software and systems.

      Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. High stress due to regular deadlines and a fast-paced environment where it is critical to juggle multiple priorities. High finger dexterity while typing documents and forms. Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

      Work Environment - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work is done in a climate-controlled, non-smoking office. Work stations are cubicles with moderately high sides. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel is common with this position. Approximately 25-50% of time may be spent away from the office at client locations.
