The Associate Director --Product Development and Engineering
oversees the development activities of other engineers, supporting
multiple projects within the assigned product categories. In this
key role he/she will manage the R&D activities carried out by
BISSELL and other supplier's technical staff to ensure that BISSELL
requirements are met resulting in successful projects. This person
will also be a critical link in technical communications both
within BISSELL and with outside suppliers to determine and verify
technical aspects of BISSELL projects.
This Associate will direct the engineering efforts assigned
product categories and ensuring that company goals are met. This
Associate will also work closely with counterparts at site
locations, specifically our Asia Development Center. This role will
also be will be responsible for leading multi-year product road
maps to further develop and expand the product category.
POSITION PROFILE (Major duties, accountabilities, and

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (i.e. degree, years of

Specific concentration: Extensive Engineering and Product
Development Experience, Lean Product Development Environment
Experience a plus.
Experience level: 14+ years of experience in research and
MBA or MS preferred
Proven technical leadership for a national brand company,
preferably in consumer products.
Excellent people skills, with a proven ability to foster
innovation and deliver results.
