Director of Commercial and Multifamily Sales & Services Standard Supply & Lumber, a Division of US LBM is Seeking a Director of Commercial and Multifamily Sales & Services for Our Grand Rapids, MI Location.

Standard Supply & Lumber is seeking experienced candidates for this role.  Standard Companies has served the greater Grand Rapids area since 1904 and the western portion of the state of Michigan for more than 100 years.

Position Review : Directs and supervises all sales and services activities for the commercial and multifamily business. Insures efficient and effective sales operations and relations with new and existing customers.

How you will spend your time as a Director of Commercial and Multifamily Sales & Services :

Develops and executes Commercial and Multifamily business plans for Division and Area.

Maintain close relationship with the customer for awareness of customer needs and perspective.

Monitor several Commercial and Multifamily development projects at a time to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction.

Develop and position communication programs to reach the target area.

Expand Commercial and Multifamily products and services.

Analyze sales successes and use the data to forecast and plan.

Effectively evaluate complex environments in order to create business-related benefits and solutions.

Direct the Commercial and Multifamily operations to ensure profitability.

Work with appropriate managers as needed to meet goals of the company.

Support the Commercial and Multifamily sales building activities and profit margin improvement.

Preparation of annual budgeting process for Commercial and Multifamily business.

Performs personnel management duties including training, hiring, terminating, initiating disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews and making wage recommendations.

Director of Commercial and Multifamily Sales & Services Requirements:

Special Skills. 3-5 years of Management experience of 10 or more associates.

Technical Skills. Computer Experience above average skill level and familiar using MS Office Products, Plan Swift, MiTek, Alpine Software a Plus.

Knowledge. Previous building material knowledge. Knowledge of Contracts and Contract Management. Read and understand plans and specifications, i.e. blueprints. Understand and able to read financial statements.

Licenses. Must hold a clear and valid driver’s license.

Communication. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills (Required). Ability to communicate on any different levels depending on audience. Public speaking experience - sales presentation at a job site to a group of 20-30 people.

Sales Experience.  8 years Outside Sales Experience in Commercial/Multifamily sales of building materials.

Teamwork. Ability to work as a team and help motivate and lead others.

Excellence. Must have an excellent attendance history with a work ethic to match.
