CORE JOB OBJECTIVE:IMS team members are talented, highly motivated, business-minded, hardworking individuals who serve customers with integrity. --Successful Business Development Representatives take proactive ownership of building and executing an inside communication strategy, consultatively interacting with existing and potential customers to identify opportunities for IMS products and services, and moving opportunities to the next step of the sales process. --These objectives are achieved through connecting with customers and prospective customers both over the phone and within the digital landscape, and then accurately documenting those interactions to ensure effective follow up. --Business Development Representatives must be comfortable making dozens of customer connections per day, efficiently qualifying prospects, working with IMS teammates to move opportunities forward, and potentially closing sales.--Business Development Representatives are expected to put customers first and effectively support the sales effort both pre- and post-sale.--The Business Development Representative plays a fundamental role in helping IMS achieve market share goals, reach revenue growth objectives, and conquer customer acquisition, making it a vital role within the IMS organization.-- KEY JOB ELEMENTS: Sales ObjectivesReach out to prospective customers to find new opportunities for products, services, and solutions offered by IMSConnect with existing customers to identify upcoming projects that could involve products, services or solutions offered by IMSIdentify and validate customer contactsIdentify cross-selling opportunities for IMS products, systems, and servicesMeet and exceed both sales dollar goals and strategic business objectivesAccount Retention & DevelopmentConnect with existing customers to validate satisfaction Expand customer base by contacting a curated list of healthcare contacts to develop new business opportunitiesIdentify stalled opportunities requiring follow up by Account Executives, Solutions Consultants and Product ManagersFollow up on leads from website hits, suppliers, and other sourcesIdentify upcoming customer changes, such as remodeling, department moves, or other departmental changes that could provide new sales opportunities Qualify customer opportunities to ensure understanding of relevant customer budgets, needs, timing, and decision makersHand off fully qualified leads to IMS teammatesWork closely with marketing department to develop marketing and communications strategies; participate in product blogs and other communication initiativesEducate relevant facilities subject to IDN Master Sales and Services Agreements (MSSA) and product schedules to ensure understanding of MSSA program; introduce IMS product website when applicableResponsible for achieving daily activity goalsPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:--Entry level or 1+ years of proven success in a sales environment, preferably in B2B cold callingBachelor's degree in related field preferred but not requiredJOB SKILLS:Strong conversational, persuasion, and influencing skills to establish rapport with customers and prospectsAbility to ask discovery questions, identify customer problems, and articulate customer needs to qualify opportunities for further pre-sales development within the solutions available for saleProven self-starter comfortable in a competitive environmentCapable of relentless persistence and diligence in the face of daily rejection and delays from potential prospectsOrganized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-taskingExcellent oral and written communication skillsTechnical aptitude and an eagerness to learnWilling to work as part of a larger corporate team to reach overall product sales goals while also working independentlyWorking knowledge of hospitals and healthcare environment a plusExperience with digital conversation tools such as MS Teams, GoToWebinar, as well as other online chat toolsProficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
