Job Description:

Nature of Work The purpose of this job is to provide leadership and oversight of the 9-1-1/Emergency Dispatch Center and primary areas of responsibility include personnel, technology, procedures & processes, budget, reports, and attending meetings as the representative of the center. Plans, organizes, coordinates, assigns and evaluates the work of emergency communications operators, supervisors and radio technicians Plans, organizes, coordinates and administers operating technology including CAD, 911 phone, radio, recorder and station alerting Participates in meeting and conference calls Prepares and monitors the budget Reviews new equipment and software offerings and recommends purchase; obtains competitive pricing from vendors Prepares statistical analyses and reports and serves as a general program maintenance troubleshooter Participates in technical and administrative studies and reviews reports of program needs and accomplishments Maintains records and prepares reports Oversees procedures, processes and MOPs Performs related work as required YourMembership.
