TEKsystems currently has an opening for a IT support role in the Holland/Grand Rapids area. This opening is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get in to the IT field or someone who is looking to work for an enterprise level company. Day-to-Day Role:Respond to computer systems questions, issues and problems from corporate and remote system customers related to hardware and system software; follow up until all problems are resolved* Ceate Service Desk tickets for all support calls*Ability to support end users through telephone support*Ensure issue resolution of outstanding tickets and escalate unresolved issues to the next level support*Determine source of system errors, malfunctions, job stoppages; program information to ensure that operation standards are met and upheld*Document departmental processes, procedures and provide recommendations for improvements*Operate and maintain peripheral equipment, including tape drives, hard disk drives, fax system, printers and consoles*Track, route and redirect issues and queries to correct resources*Execute and verify successful completion of processes as scheduled; document and follow up on abnormal job executions*Monitor systems activity and performance; report issues or errors to IS support staff*Follow up with employees to ensure proper issue resolution prior to closing the ticketCore Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:*Prior experience with help desk ticketing systems and service desk management tools*Ability to work independently all shifts and days of the week*Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members*Ability to maintain composure when faced with stressful situations*Ability to exhibit creativity and flexibility in solving customer problemsAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
