Custodial Manager- Ada, MIJob Skills/RequirementsFor this position you must be able pass a background check, drug test and fingerprinting. Willingness to relocate outside of St Louis is required.Job ObjectiveUnder general direction, oversee large account, coordinates and supervises all aspects of daily and periodic cleaning to include; inspection of university living areas to ensure cleanliness; supervises supervisors and head custodians, admin assistant and custodians; determines appropriate staffing levels required for work projects; meets with occupants to monitor/ensure standards of cleanliness; may coordinate setup for events on all campusesEssential FunctionsThis job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Supervises daily work of assistant supervisor and custodians of 40 plus team members; inspects all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderly; prepares and submits work schedules; biweekly payroll.Evaluates performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary action and incident reports; counsels employees.Designates shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel; interprets contract; conducts training programs for custodians; implements new procedures and policies.Maintains records and correspondence; prepares reports; submits purchase requisitions for supplies; maintains supply inventory and accounts; contacts vendors; prepares and submits progress reports on building conditions.Establishes and monitors working relationships with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and visitors.Coordinates various cleaning projects; receives equipment, uniforms, and paper orders; operates all cleaning equipment.Coordinates setup for events on all campuses and ensures proper staffing.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.Education: High school diploma required.Certifications: N/AExperience:3 years of progressively responsible custodial work experience, preferably in a hotel, hospital or residence hall facility,2 years of supervisory experience.Skills:Knowledge of cleaning methods and materialsSupervisory skillsCustomer service skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsInterpersonal/human relations skillsTraining skillsReport preparation skillsAbility to conduct custodial inspectionsAbility to plan and organizeAbility to maintain confidentialityPhysical and Working ConditionsAbility to walk throughout the campus.Ability to lift up to 60 lbsAbility to operate carpet extractor, floor buffers, and various cleaning equipment.#CT123The Clean Tech Company is a St. Louis, Missouri based company with a proud and stable history.
