Salary: $ 74800 to $ 112200 annually The Technical Consultant will be responsible for all aspects of application support, application architecture design and administration. This includes support for basic system architectures, software installation and configuration, security and performance tuning. The Technical Consultant will also be responsible for troubleshooting, capacity planning, patch management and backup recovery procedures.--The Technical Consultant will be expected to regularly meet with business representatives to verify requirements for designated systems. SALARY GRADE: Level II: $74,800-$112,200, Level Sr.:--$83,750-$138,150--(Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.) Contents of our relocation program are subject to change and may vary based on position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    • Experience with support and architectural design of multi-tiered applications.
    • Experience with integrating systems of various technologies.
    • Experience with troubleshooting system issues including application, database and network.
    • Assist with the installation and configuration of complex software systems following established IT procedures and change control standards.
    • Assist with post-installation verification, risk assessments and gap analysis.
    • Assist with setting strategy, direction, coordination and planning for designated systems.
    • Work closely with co-workers, application developers and end-users to resolve application and performance related issues.
    • Ensure recoverability of designated systems.
    • Ensure security and integrity of designated systems.
    • Install, patch and maintain designated systems in accordance with the IT patching policy.
    • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies including but not limited to SOX and NERC/CIP.--
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of designated systems.
    • Process work related requests in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Work as part of the Technical Consulting team and provide 24x7x365 support when required. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Provide various application server support as needed.
      • Provide monthly status reports--
      • Ability to effectively document procedures for audit and control purposes--
      • Willingly accept all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Level II:
        • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting complex multi-tiered IT applications required.
        • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Level Sr.:
          • Minimum of--seven (7) years of experience supporting complex multi-tiered IT applications required.
          • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
            • Ability to comprehend Compliance requirements with complex and evolving regulations.
            • Knowledge of Linux OS, architecture, and troubleshooting techniques.
            • Knowledge of Windows OS, architecture, and troubleshooting techniques.
            • Knowledge of multi-tiered applications.
            • Knowledge of networking and database technologies and general troubleshooting techniques.
            • Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV, Nutanix Prism) is preferred.
            • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, Python etc.) is preferred.
            • Knowledge of programming languages (Java, .NET etc.) is preferred.
            • Knowledge of the Utility Industry is preferred.
            • Knowledge of NERC/CIP compliance requirements is preferred.
            • Ability to work in a team environment--
            • Ability to effectively communicate with IT management and various business customers.
            • Ability to complete tasks without supervision.
            • Self-motivated.
            • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.--
            • Excellent organizational and time management skills.--
            • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.--
            • Ability to work from remote locations as required.
