This is a full-time position, reporting to the Human Resources Director. The HR Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, recruitment HRIS, time and attendance, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, employee wellness and employment. Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain, enter and update employee data in ADP and other database systems. Ensure that system records are accurately recorded and cross-checked. Ensure that employee and HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirement and Company policies and procedures. Complete monthly and year-end reports regarding terminations, overtime, transfers, and new hires. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulationsProcess employment verifications, background, and pre-employment checks, as well as generate employment offer letters. Prepare recruitment lists and job postings, review resumes, schedule and conduct interviews. Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting orientation and getting the new hire paperwork and files prepared. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.Assists in performance review process including implementation, scheduling and reviewing of reviews such as 90 day review, disciplinary reviews, PIP's & annual reviews. Builds social media presence to help with company branding and recruiting effortsAssists in benefit renewal strategies and implementation. Assist in 401(k) administration, training and supportMaintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential. Maintains quality service by following organization standards. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assists in company event planning.Assists with processing of terminations. Processes unemployment and workers' compensation claims;Assists Director of Human Resources with various research projects and/or special projects. Assists and prepares correspondence. Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources. Education & ExperienceBA in Human Resources Management or at least 5 years of experience.Previous experience working in human resources is preferred.Qualifications & RequirementsWell organizedMicrosoft Office Suite proficiency Accurate and attention to detail.
