Job Description General Summary: Responsible for assisting the Sr. Human Resources Manager with facilitation of all key departmental functions related to employment, compensation, benefits, and engagement as they pertain to the employees of the company. Essential Job Functions: -- Process payroll and overheads -- Review timesheets for accuracy and submission -- Verifies adequate funds in a bank account; reconciles payroll and associated accounts -- Ensures payroll taxes are posted and maintains accurate records -- Maintains ledgers and financial records for journal entries, bank reconciliations, and disbursements by established guidelines and procedures -- Maintains employee personnel records in accordance with regulations -- Maintains and updates company policies and documents as needed -- Coordinates performance reviews for all employees and their direct reports for 1-to-1 monthly meetings -- Assist with tracking employee onboarding step thru process to identify benefit eligibility -- Assists with employment recruiting tasks such as creating job descriptions, reviewing FLSA requirements, create job postings, post open positions using various platforms (Zip, Indeed, Handshake, local agencies) maintaining employment application forms, coordinating interview processes, and checking references -- Assists with benefits administration by processing required documentation, explaining benefit plans to employees, and assisting employees with benefit-related questions or problems -- Prepares presentation materials and coordinates meeting times, locations, and other details -- Data Entry of employee deductions, pay rates, PTO accruals, etc. -- Assist with preparing tax returns and compliance reports with appropriate agencies -- Coordinate/assist with meals/snacks for company events and meetings Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -- General knowledge of human resources principles and practices -- General knowledge of state and federal human resources laws and regulations -- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook products well to automate processes --- pivots, formulas, macros, etc. -- Ability to handle sensitive situations in a professional, confidential manner -- Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner -- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments Education and Experience: -- Bachelor---s Degree in HR-related field preferred -- 5 years human resources-related experience considered in lieu of degree Company Description Synergetics is a leading IT services consulting firm that specializes in the delivery of technology throughout the United States.
