years Description: This position performs a variety of integrated
pre and post-operative critical care functions. The nursing process
is applied while utilizing a broad nursing knowledge in a caring
and concerned manner. Responsibilities include assessing the
patient for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support.
The position involves organizing and coordinating all aspects of
patient care according to the patient's real and/or perceived
needs. Evaluating patient progress is essential by correlating
patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals
are being met according to the patient's plan of care. Consultation
and collaboration with members of the healthcare team is necessary
in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.
Three weekend shifts per 4 week scheduling period are required. 5
