This travel nursing job is an exciting opportunity to provide emergency, trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center. Job Details - Job Title: Travel ER Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift - Location: Lansing, MI 48912 (Lansing healthcare jobs, Michigan nursing jobs) - Setting: Level I Trauma Emergency Department / Stroke Center / Heart Center / Pediatric ED - Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract) - Start Date: March 17, 2026 - Shifts: Night shift, 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890–$1,990/week - Weekend Coverage: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule (Fri–Sun; may work 1–3 days/weekend) - Floating: Possible float to Pediatric Emergency Department Job Requirements / Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan required (must be active by start date; compact licenses not accepted) - Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a Level I Trauma Center - Current certifications (valid at start): ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIHSS; ENPC preferred - EPIC electronic charting experience required (EPIC experience) - Clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insertion, medication administration, procedural sedation - Proof of high school education (required for all allied candidates) - Completion of required orientation modules prior to start Responsibilities – Emergency Department Nurse - Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care for trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric patients - Triage, assess, stabilize, and continually evaluate patients across the lifespan (infants to geriatrics) - Manage patient assignments (typical ratios 1:5–6; up to 1:8 during high census) - Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and assist with procedural sedation as appropriate - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory, IV team, pharmacy, PT, rapid response) - Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic medical record - Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed and support pediatric emergency nursing care - Adhere to hospital policies, compliance requirements, and submit RTO documentation as required Why Join This Travel Nursing Role? - Work in a top-tier Level I Trauma Center with diverse clinical experiences - Advance your emergency nursing career with complex trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases - Experience Lansing—an affordable Michigan city with strong community and outdoor activities Ready to make a difference in a top-tier trauma center while enjoying all that Lansing has to offer?
