Job Description Physician Heart and Lung Procurement Surgeon
Grand Rapids, MI Opportunity Highlights Established Transplant
Program: Since its inception in 2010, the Heart and Lung Transplant
program has completed 225 heart transplants, 370 lung transplants,
and 529 durable LVADs. Leading Surgical Program in Michigan: Home
to Michigans largest open-heart surgery program, performing over
1,600 open-heart surgeries, 400 TAVRs, and 120 ECMO procedures
annually. Dedicated Procurement Role: Opportunity to function as a
dedicated organ procurement surgeon supporting the Heart and Lung
Transplant programs. Additional Clinical Opportunities: Potential
to assist in cardiothoracic surgeries or other related
responsibilities based on experience. Competitive Compensation:

Qualifications Board Certified/Eligible: Cardiothoracic Surgeon,
American Board of Thoracic Surgery or Equivalent Procurement
Experience: Experience in heart and lung procurement preferred,
though not required Cardiothoracic Surgery Training: Required for
the role Requirements Unrestricted Michigan medical license
Bachelor's degree required Certifications: - LIC-Physician (MD or
DO) - State of Michigan - DEA Registration - State of Michigan -
Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC, required within 120 days -
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA, required within
120 days if relevant to specialty or procedures About Grand Rapids,
