PCU experience License: Valid state RN license Certifications: BLS
(AHA) and NIH Must-Have: Strong post-surgical competencies required
Telemetry remote monitoring Colostomy care Feeding tube care and
management Pre/Post Hemodialysis management Accessing ports Blood
product administration Peripheral line care/management PICC line
management Starting IVs Heparin and insulin administration
Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) Surgical drains Chest tubes
management High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) Nasal cannula oxygen
management Non-invasive airway management Oral suctioning Oxygen
face masks Portable oxygen tank management Tracheostomy management
Isolation precautions Wound care and wound vac management
Description: Must be available for the first two weeks of the
assignment. There is no call requirement. Weekend commitment is
required every other week. Holiday coverage as needed. Will float
to other Med/Surg, ICU, and ED as needed. Candidates must be
comfortable with patient ratios of 1:6. Previous charge experience
is preferred. Experience in community hospital settings is
preferred. Travel experience is required. Candidates should have
excellent interpretation and management skills for dysrhythmias.
Experience with rapid response and code teams is beneficial. Daily
census includes adult and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary
support includes various teams such as IV, physical therapy, and
pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include elective joint replacement and
med/surg overflow. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced
environment with a variety of patient needs. Requirements Required
