on a specialized cardiac step-down unit in Mishawaka, IN. This
contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a 449-bed
acute care hospital recognized for its commitment to excellence and
advanced patient care technologies. Working primarily on a
7th-floor intermediate care unit, you'll manage patients requiring
close cardiac monitoring, including those on various drips such as
Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix. This role demands
proficiency in telemetry and cardiac/stroke care, supported by your
completion of ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications. A strong ability
to accurately read and respond to cardiac rhythms is essential to
patient safety and outcomes. Schedule: 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00
AM 7:30 PM) No on-call responsibilities Every other weekend
required Floating to like or lesser acuity units may be expected
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license, with
pending licenses accepted if activated prior to start date Minimum
of 1 year relevant experience; 2 years preferred Telemetry and
cardiac or stroke care experience mandatory Competency in telemetry
rhythm identification (passing a telemetry rhythm quiz required)
Familiarity with hemodialysis patients is advantageous First-time
