We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Michigan starting Mar 9, 2026. This position offers a 48-day contract with a 4-day, 10-hour workweek, 1 in 4 weeks on call, and one weekend shift per month. The role is focused on rounding and supporting a cardiac and vascular surgery team, with no operating room responsibilities. Job Details Location: Michigan Start Date: Mar 9, 2026 LOA: 48 days Provider Type Needed: Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour workweek; 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home); 1 weekend shift per month Responsibilities and Duties Round on cardiac and vascular surgery patients in collaboration with the CV surgical team Provide advanced patient care and clinical support to both cardiac and vascular surgeons Support patient management throughout the perioperative period Communicate and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation Adhere to best practices and institutional protocols Additional Information Board certification as an APP required Active Michigan medical license or eligibility preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred Experienced candidates only; new graduates must have relevant experience Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
