Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Grand Rapids, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,913 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49506! Job Title: RN, MedSurg Profession: Nursing Specialty: Agency Staff RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License (State) Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - ICU and Med/Surg experience - PD, Telemetry, IV Starts - Comfortable with vents and cardiac drips Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Education Level: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing must be obtained within specified time frames for those starting in this RN role. Experience: Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program. Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Self-directed with the ability to make quality, independent decisions. Analytical and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines and multiple interruptions. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Competency in using a variety of computer hardware and software systems. Essential Functions: Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity and coordination of care. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Performs point-of-care testing as required. Demonstrates a high standard of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior. Formulates decisions and actions based on ethical principles. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient and organizational data. Assesses the overall needs of the patient/family and analyzes assessment data to identify potential diagnoses or issues. Identifies expected outcomes/goals and develops and implements an individualized interprofessional plan of care. Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies. Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact. Ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and timely. Assumes an autonomous leadership role and delegates appropriately to unlicensed assistive personnel. Engages in activities related to the professional role and seeks to continually advance knowledge and competence. Participates in ongoing improvement activities that contribute to quality patient care. Actively participates in safety initiatives and completes all position and unit safety-related competencies.
