Job Description The Plastic Surgery section at Corewell Health
is recruiting a new physician to join Dr. Ronald Ford and develop a
reconstructive microsurgery section. This section will assist in
the care of patients requiring breast reconstruction, oncologic
head and neck reconstruction, limb salvage, lymphedema care and
extended Oncologic reconstruction in conjunction with
multi-disciplinary teams working at Corewell Health. Ideal
candidates should have interest in and fellowship training in
reconstructive microsurgery, be able to work in a collaborative
environment with our fellowship trained oncologic breast surgeons
and will be expected to also provide general plastic surgical care
services. Candidates will be expected to participate in resident
education and facilitate learning in the development of resident
microsurgical competence. The Corewell Health/Michigan State
University College of Human Medicine Plastic Surgery Integrated
Residency program offers an environment of collegiality with
rigorous academic pursuit, abundant research opportunities and a
demand for excellence. This is a unique opportunity for a plastic
surgeon at the assistant or associate professor level to establish
and grow an academic practice and be part of a strong and growing
residency program. There is also an opportunity to advance into the
role of residency associate program director. Academic appointment
with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and
compensation commensurate with training and experience.
Compensation Package: Malpractice insurance, health, dental,
disability and life insurance. Paid time off for vacation, parental
leave, illness, CME, and relocation allowance. Qualifications:
Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO) Board-eligible or
Board-certified in Plastic Surgery Fellowship trained in
Microsurgery Qualified candidates should possess or be eligible for
certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Corewell
