Independent and confident clinician - Ability to assess,
prioritize, and escalate concerns Description: We are seeking
highly experienced adaptable Pediatric ICU travelers who are drawn
to complex, high-acuity care. Candidates should thrive in a
collaborative, team-based environment. This role involves caring
for medically and surgically complex children across the full
spectrum of critical illness. Strong foundational PICU experience
is essential. Candidates must be comfortable caring for high-acuity
patients including those on mechanical ventilation, advanced
respiratory support, and vasoactive infusions. Experience with
hemodynamic monitoring and post-operative surgical patients is
required. Ability to handle cases of sepsis, trauma, neurologic,
and multi-system failure is expected. Travelers must be
independent, confident clinicians who can quickly assess and
prioritize patient concerns. Candidates should be comfortable
working across multiple care spaces and patient populations.
Ability to integrate into existing workflows while maintaining high
safety standards is essential. Candidates must be skilled in
recognizing subtle clinical changes and partnering early with the
care team. Demonstrated competency through the nursing process is
required. Upholding standards of professional performance as
described by regulatory standards is essential. Must exhibit
excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills are required.
Ability to make quality, independent decisions is essential. The
ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines
and high volumes is crucial. Maintaining the strictest levels of
confidentiality is mandatory. Candidates should have the ability to
actively listen to others. Competency in the use of various
computer hardware and software systems is required. Provides
evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional
plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other members of
the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Acts as a
patient/family advocate and performs point of care testing as
required. Demonstrates high moral, ethical, and culturally
sensitive behavior. Identifies patient and family educational needs
and employs appropriate teaching strategies. Initiates patient
discharge planning at the time of patient contact. Ensures
documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assumes an autonomous leadership role and delegates appropriately
to unlicensed assistive personnel. Engages in activities related to
professional role and seeks to advance knowledge and competence.
Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigation
