skilled Pathologist Assistant for a 8 week travel assignment in

Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - One year of recent experience as a
Pathology Assistant/n/t - Valid license when needed in compliance
with any state regulations/n /n/nPreferred Qualifications:/n/n /n/t
- National certification through ASCP or equivalent such as AMT,
AAB, HEW certifications/n/t - Current BLS certification
(AHA/ARC)/n/t - Other certifications or licenses may be required
for this position/n /n/nSummary:/n/n A Pathology Assistant supports
pathologists in the preparation, examination, and dissection of
tissue specimens for diagnosis. They assist in autopsies, surgical
pathology procedures, and laboratory operations, ensuring the
accurate and efficient processing of specimens. /n/nEssential Work
Functions:/n/n /n/t - Perform examination and dissection of
specimens, ensuring proper documentation and processing/n/t -
Describe and sections specimens, applying appropriate fixation and
processing techniques for microscopic evaluation/n/t - Photograph
and documents specimens, lesions, and tissue abnormalities for
clinical and educational purposes/n/t - Ensures proper labeling,
accessioning, and tracking of all specimens to maintain accurate
patient records/n/t - Operates and maintains laboratory equipment,
ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards/n/t -
Implement time management skills to optimize workflow and
turnaround times/n/t - Adhere to quality control procedures to
ensure accuracy in specimen handling and documentation/n/t - Assist
with proper maintenance of equipment, provision of adequate
supplies, and cleanliness of the surgical pathology suite/n/t -
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice/n/t -
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines,
and regulatory standards/n /n/nRequired Essential Skills:/n/n /n/t
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal
communication skills/n/t - The ability to read, write, &
communicate in the English language is required/n/t - Ability to
read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,
and proficiency in PC skills/n/t - Physical Abilities - Remain in a
stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),
pushing, pulling, bending/n/t - Interpersonal Skills - To work
effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and
ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism/n/t -
Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,
pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with
procedures and/or using department equipment./n/t - Mental
Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the
general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well
as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to
contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and
