Job Description:
Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for
this opportunity! Weekend Option Program: Weekend RNs/LPNs will be
required to work 48 out of 52 weekends per calendar year. Weekends
are defined as Saturday and Sunday for day shift and Friday and
Saturday night for night shift. RNs/LPNs can request up to 48 hours
of PTO on their weekend shifts as well as 48 hours of exchanging a
weekend shift for a weekday shift, for a total of 96 hours ‘off’ of
the weekend requirement. This would be given in accordance with
unit guidelines with allotted PTO as well as peak times, etc.
RNs/LPNs may request 1 holiday off per calendar year that falls on
the weekend. The RN/LPN would only work the holiday if it fell on
the weekend, they will not be moved off a weekend to work on a
holiday. About the unit With 2 floors and 164 beds we are able to
provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab
patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the
population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a
rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient
specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain
injuries and cancer. Offers integrated services with a common
mission: to provide goal orientated, compassionate care while
living a healthy and active life to the greatest level possible.
About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge We are located on a
10-acre campus. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to
provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and
confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for
rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an
attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a
large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and
dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided. Scope of
work Registered Nurse (RN) Delivers nursing care responsibly and
accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses
Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known
as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis,
outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by
the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent
practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education,
evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice,
professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and
environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN) Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level
Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the
health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients
and families about treatments and medications being received,
equipment being utilized, and other related activities as
appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level
Provider/Physician. Documents care provided via computer/written
patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.
Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) Required Associates in Nursing
Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years State of MI Registered Nurse
(RN) AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days Licensed
Practical Nurse(LPN) Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved nursing program Preferred Graduate of an
approved nursing program Healthcare experience State of MI Licensed
Practical Nurse (LPN) upon hire AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
