Clinical Psychiatry Adjunct Contract Physician
Schedule: 1/2 days per week during the academic year and 1/2 day per month during the summer months. No evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts.

SUMMARY

Calvin University is seeking a part time psychiatrist to join our dedicated healthcare team to care for our students on campus 4 to 6 hours a week. Practice with a well established group who are focused on the health of our students. We offer in-person and telemedicine services and will coordinate all the administrative and billing services so you can focus on caring for our students with psychiatric needs. Your schedule will allow ample time to assess your patients and coordinate a treatment plan with our supportive staff ready to assist. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric care for Health Services patients in the outpatient setting following standardized medical practice for specialty.
• Provide mental health care for patients dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding prescription medications, substance abuse, eating disorders, and other mental health topics.
• Takes time to educate patients that aims to empower them to take full advantage of their academic experience and learn to be engaged in their treatment.
• Consults with colleagues in Health Services and other colleagues across campus if needed in collaboration of services.
• Maintains documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintains current information and trends in the field of college mental health care. Demonstrates evidence of continued professional growth by involvement in continuing education standard to industry.
