Interim HealthCare -of West Michigan -is a locally owned and operated leader in post-acute care services in West Michigan. -We are -now seeking -Hospice Companion Volunteers -to serve -within our growing -Hospice -Division. Give of your time, when time matters most. -#HospiceYour Volunteer Role -

• Read to your patient, lend a smile, listen to another's life-journey, share the joy of music, a favorite show, laugh, play a game, -OR
• If you're more comfortable volunteering in an administrative role, we have opportunities at our Corporate Hospice office to give a hand as office team support
• This is a flexible role, and whatever time you have to give is appreciated and will be accommodatedOur Personality -

  • We have a sense of humor, and we know how to use itVolunteer Responsibilities -
    • After being contacted, fill out the official application and background check form
    • Participate in an interview -process
    • Participate in an initial volunteer training and orientation
    • Spend time serving your assigned patient or fulfilling administrative duties
    • Communicate consistently and regularly with your Volunteer Coordinator
    • Documentation in EMR -Volunteer Requirements
      • Must be 18 years of age
      • Reliable transportation with valid state driver's license and current car insurance
      • Kind, compassionate, reliable, and emotionally composed
