Regional Nurse/ Director of Nursing Atrium Centers Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States Full-Time Consultant About this positionThis position covers 4 to 5 facilities in Michigan and requires travel between those facilities.This position is responsible for:

• Promoting and sustaining excellent care standards, in collaboration with community administration, to meet the requirements of stakeholders including residents, families and governing agencies.
• Monitor the quality of nursing departments for defined communities within our company.
• Assisting with regulatory compliance in preparation for State and Federal surveys.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations which affect long term care.
• Assist with new program implementation and maintenance of core clinical programs.
• Identifying areas for Quality Assurance Performance Improvement and assist the communities with establishing appropriate interventions.
• Possessing excellent assessment skills, able to prioritize and effectively problem solve concerns in the community through collaboration with the communities leadership team.
• Periodically conducting research, and utilize findings to provide input for new programs or write/revise policies/procedures.
• Assisting in the training, development and nurturing of the community nursing leadership.
• Understands the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) process for long term care communities.
• Respectful sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to be available for extensive overnight travel.Requirements EDUCATION - : A graduate of an approved Registered Nursing Program. BSN preferred QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a successful Director of Nursing or Regional Nurse required.
  • Both acute and long term care experience required.
  • Ability to problem solve complex issues
  • At minimum of 2 years Multi-site, leadership, and educator roles preferred.
  • Must possess critical clinical thinking skills and ability to problem solve, apply, and implement immediate solutions
  • Must be able to review and utilize community clinical data and compares it to company, state and national benchmarks
  • Extensive travel required including overnights
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have financial means to accommodate travel expenses. Expenses are reimbursed routinely, but employee must be able to make travel arrangements on their own.
