Excellent Family Medicine (Inpatient) Opportunity (30 hours/week) near Lake Michigan - Grand Rapids!! Description One of the largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the U.S., is seeking a family practice medicine physician to provide medical coverage and to perform and document admission medical assessments (History and Physical Examinations) for inpatient and partial admissions; provides diagnosis and management of episodic illness on a consultant basis for patient on the campus; provides follow-up medical care on a consultant basis for emergency, urgent, and routine medical problems for inpatient patients on the campus; reviews and responds, either personally or by delegation to appropriate staff, to all medical laboratory data and ancillary medical data gathered on patients on the campus; provides medical consultation services to psychiatrists serving the organziation for patients on the campus; provides consultation and expertise in pain management and addiction management to patients on the campus; supervises care provided to patients on the campus by licensed Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners; provides preceptorship for medical students and physician assistant students rotating on the general medicine service on the campus; make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies, including ordering consultations as needed; responsible for rotating medical on-call coverage for campus; complete documentation following department requirements: History and Physician Examinations with Twenty (20) hours of admission, Subsequent care dictated within Twenty (20) hours of date seen, Discharges dictated within Seven (7) days from the date of discharge, Sign charts upon completion.
