Job Description:
*SUMMARY:*The Senior Government Relations Associate at National
Heritage Academies (NHA) is responsible for completing and
assisting in many activities that are necessary for National
Heritage Academies (NHA) to be successful in achieving its
government relations objectives while working as a part of a
flexible team.COMPANY INFORMATION:National Heritage Academies (NHA)
partners with communities to build and operate public charter
schools. Founded in 1995, today NHA has over 100 schools in nine
states, serving more than 60,000 students in kindergarten through

us. Together we impact a life.*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Coordinating the reporting and the flow of information to and from
contract lobbyists and other sources.* Maintaining records
associated with NHA's compliance with applicable state and federal
lobbying laws.* Performing research on pending legislation and
other issues as assigned.* Assisting in the development of
meaningful reports and memos on legislative activities for internal
NHA stakeholders.* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders
to review pending policy, legislation, and other relevant issues.*
Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing state and federal education
budgets.* Monitoring short- and long-term state revenue estimates.*
Monitoring and analyzing budget proposals and legislation advancing
through the appropriations process.* Coordinating with other
business units to determine the impact of proposed and enacted
state budgets on NHA and our partner schools.* Assisting in
identifying short- and long-term budget and policy trends in each
state and across all states.* Assisting in the review and analysis
of related policies that affect state budgets.* This position will
require regular, unscheduled travel as projects arise.* Additional
duties as assigned.*QUALIFICATIONS:** Bachelor's degree is
preferred.* Three to five years of legislative, research, or
advocacy experience is preferred.* Evidence of strong writing
experience in a professional setting is preferred.* Strong
communication skills - information-gathering writing, editing,
talking, and listening - with an ability to work with a variety of
internal and external stakeholders.* Excellent organizational
skills utilized to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
with changing deadlines.* Effectively manage multiple projects and
resourcefulness to seek solutions.* Travel regularly as assigned
and represent NHA with external stakeholders.* Work collaboratively
in a team environment.* Start assignments promptly, complete tasks
