Job Description:
Director of Business Development -The Director of Business
Development responsible and accountable for new business
development and revenue from new customers, as well as maintaining
current business relationships with existing customers. This
position is the leadership responsible for strategic sales
management and revenue delivery for DeWys Manufacturing, while
supporting sales for all DeWys Metal Solutions' companies. Working
in alignment with the rest of the Leadership Team, this position is
responsible for company strategy and execution. This role oversees
sales and marketing teams, while managing some strategic accounts.
-Expectations: Create and execute sales department strategies to
achieve revenue and profit goals. Create and execute strategic
plans for DeWys Manufacturing.Lead Company sales professionals and
external partners (Reps) to achieve sales and profit objectives.
Manage and grow the assigned strategic accounts.Collaborate closely
with the Leadership Team to ensure consistent alignment. Identify
strategic business opportunities. Exemplify the company's
commitment to servant leadership and values in all interactions
-Measurements:Profit/loss goals of organization and CPP (customer
part profitability) B. -Overall revenue, include new business and
business retention, with 7% YOY growth -Summary of
Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Developing and executing
strategies to identify, assess and capitalize on new business
opportunities, partnerships, and markets.Market Research:
Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities,
assess competition, and develop insights that inform strategic
decision-making.Relationship Building: Building and maintaining
relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners,
suppliers, and industry leaders to facilitate business
growth.Managing the sales and marketing teams: Oversee the sales
and marketing team, including setting sales goals, coaching, and
mentoring team members, and monitoring performance.Negotiation:
Negotiating agreements with customers, partners, and suppliers to
ensure favorable terms and conditions that support business
goals.Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to assess
the feasibility and potential profitability of new business
opportunities. Reporting: Regularly reporting on business
development activities and performance to the executive
team.Creating and delivering presentations: Create and deliver
presentations to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to
communicate the company's value proposition and strategic
vision.Develop and maintain customer relationships based on a deep
understanding of their needs, accountable for daily relationship
management.Identifies, evaluates, and executes new business
opportunities within new and existing markets.Manage CRM content
and compliance with timely completion by week and month for
accurate sales pipeline management.Forecast sales pipeline and
communicate with peers. Managing incoming leads and ensure handed
off to appropriate DeWys Metal Solution company for long-term
success.Drive to expected success by collaborating closely with
peers to ensure alignment. Help establish compensation, training,
and sales incentive (rebate) programs with the Chief Revenue
Officer. Analyze, evaluate, and increase the effectiveness of sales
methods, costs, and results. Lead the company's sales charge with
significant, sustained energy and passion. Ensure sales team is
consistently acting in accordance with mission and values. Oversee
all sales functions to ensure high quality sales, service, and
delivery. Assist sales team in delivery of proposals and
presentations where necessary to close strategic deals. Maintain
critical Rep relationships and develop and implement strategies for
expanding the company's Rep base nationwide. With Chief Revenue
Officer, strategically select, deselect, and nurture key Reps
(succession planning).Qualifications: 4-year college degree or
equivalent Work Experience: At least 10 years in sales and at least
10 years in sales leadership, preferably in the sheet metal
manufacturing industry and preferably with some experience working
in a family owned and family operated company. Work Skills: Highly
strategic leader - establishing critical plans and executing them.
Highly skilled communicator - both written and verbal, including
formal presentations. Highly skilled with people - leading,
helping, supervising, instructing, persuading, mentoring,
motivating, communicating, counseling, and negotiating. Exceptional
sales professional and leader for both internal staff and external
partners. Highly developed data skills - analysis, reporting and
decision making. Foundation in operational excellence and lean
thinker.Keen grasp of industry issues. As a full-service sheet
