utilizing reclaimed and found materials through a narrative design
process. Uhuru scaled from bespoke residential to mass office
furniture, evolving with the growing New York and West Coast
startup and commercial real estate scenes, and the "resimmercial"
office aesthetic. Uhuru focuses on delivering accessible New
American Design to mission-driven clients across residential,
hospitality, fast casual, office, co-working, architecture, and

new workplace!Position DescriptionThe Sales Director is responsible
for developing relationships and generating sales through Uhuru's
third-party representation with dealers, A & D, and end users
across the assigned geographic markets. This is a unique
opportunity to get in on the ground floor with the next generation
commercial furniture manufacturer. You must have prior success
selling to the commercial office furniture trade, with strong
dealer and A & D relationships and existing sales network .You are
a master at cultivating valued relationships with community and
business leaders that translate into revenue opportunities. You
have a history of building strong business relationships and
leveraging those relationships to earn business. You are
comfortable presenting in a variety of different settings. You
understand you are a key player on a team; and you know how to work
with a talented operations team who will deliver the solutions you
have sold. You are open to new ideas that will make you more
successful, and willing to accept the resources available to you
from the team.You want to work in an environment where results are
rewarded and supported, and for a company that you will NOT
outgrow. This full-time position will be a remote position, ideal
candidate will reside in New York and will be expected to travel.
Compensation base salary plus commission and full-benefit package.
Responsibilities--- Must have a strong network in the A&D
community and end user client base--- Present, educate and sell the
value of Uhuru's design-centric workplace solutions to end-users,
dealers, architects and designers--- Familiar with CET and other
libraries (Myresourcelibrary, etc.)--- Maintain appropriate sales
activity levels at all times--- Update customer interaction in CRM
to ensure efficient lead management--- Achieve and exceed revenue,
profitability and product mix sales goals--- Develop business plan
with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales
objectives--- Set up product tests or demos for end-users as
necessary and facilitate presentations for prospective clients---
Complete sales activity & opportunity reports, sales order
paperwork, installation assistance, and sales training as well as
maintaining customer contact database--- Serve as a liaison between
customer service and the customer on shipment and quality
matters--- Lead strategic business and forecasting discussions with
dealer principles to meet dealer sales goals, establish new
accounts and grow existing customer salesQualifications--- Strong
new business networking and prospecting skills--- Proven history
achieving measurable sales goals as assigned by leader and willing
to accept responsibility for results--- Strong interpersonal
communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills---
Excellent business acumen: confidence to communicate with key
decision makers--- Self-motivated to independently initiate and
achieve sales goals--- Professional appearance --- Energetic,
self-starter with a positive attitude, morale and work ethic---
Ability to work with designated sales teams and be an individual
contributor--- Excellent time management skills --- Successful
track record of planning and execution--- Proficient in Microsoft
Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint --- Must be able to
travel away from company office and/or home office, expect 30%
travel --- Must provide own vehicle, valid driver's license and
automobile insurance Desired Education and Experience--- Bachelor's
Degree or equivalent experience--- Minimum 5 years sales
