WFEF has Industry and Asset-type specialists devoted to Construction Equipment, Commercial and Specialty Vehicles, Healthcare, Energy/Marine, Solar, Vendor Finance Programs and Corporate/Private Aircraft.The Specialty Markets Relationship Manager 1 (?SMRM?) will work within the Commercial Vehicle Group (?CVG?) and is responsible for marketing various services and products on a direct basis to truck dealers, transportation companies and private fleets.? The assigned territory is Illinois, Michigan, and East & Central Wisconsin.? The individual will be required to be physically located within the assigned territory.? Travel is required on a weekly basis to visit dealers, customers and prospects.? The SMRM role requires a strong background in sales and credit with a significant understanding of the trucking industry and equipment specifications.? Experience in originating, qualifying and closing a variety of financing products is helpful, including familiarity with operating leases, FMV, split TRAC leases, TRAC leases and term loans.? The SMRM will identify opportunities and develop relationships with existing customers as well as developing new customers with annual revenue up to $1B+.? The annual new business expectation for this position is $40+ million.? The Specialty Markets Relationship Manager will work cooperatively with internal WFEFI staff to submit, approve, negotiate, document and fund transactions.Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit?s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relationship management experience

    Desired Qualifications
    • A BS/BA degree or higher
    • Ability to qualify, structure, price, negotiate, and close credit transactions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong collaboration skills
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of tax, accounting, and legal issues; associated with purchase money financings and credit issues, including program master loan documentation, customer loan and lease agreements, and inventory credit facilities
    • High degree of structuring experience with financial products including loans, FMV leases, and inventory lines
    • Knowledge of and ability to interpret financial statements
    • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding business goals and objectives
    • Basic knowledge of lending products
    • 3+ years of Equipment Finance experience

      Other Desired Qualifications
      • 3+ years of commercial finance experience that includes experience in the transportation industry including heavy and medium duty trucks as well as van, flat and refrigerated trailers
      • Strong salesmanship skills
      • Salesforce experience
      • SuperTRUMP system experience
      • Experience in lease pricing such as InfoAnalysis and/or competence with HP12C or 17B
      • Professional sales, negotiation and presentation skills
      • Knowledge and experience related to tractor and trailer specs
      • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships and interact with customers at the CEO and CFO level
      • Equipment finance experience managing a territory with originations in excess of $35-40 million

        Job Expectations
        • Ability to travel 60% of the time
