Position Summaryspan lang='RU'This position is critical to Priority Health's mission of improving the health and lives of the people we serve in collaboration with the health plan's provider partners and major delivery systems.#160; Expectations will include participate and advocate for healthcare innovation, care model redesign and driving high-value health care. Also, expectations will include appropriate application of utilization management skills and strategies to assure the right care at the right time and the right price in the right location to promote high quality health outcomes. This position is not only critical to our mission, but enables physicians to develop skills in the areas of leadership, strategic integration, healthcare financing, and medical economics. Ideal candidates must have a strong sense of mission, experience in utilization management, interest in a high level of collaboration, patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine.#160;/spanBasic Qualifications: Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO) Graduate of a medical school approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or an osteopathic school approved by the Council for the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in a clinical setting, along 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in managed care Licenses - Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Michigan without restrictions Upon Hire Board certification in a medical or surgical specialty Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications: Experience - Proven experience and evidence of success in effective physician communication and education skills; evaluation of evidence-based standards of care including the ability to critically analyze data; clinical program development and assessment; physician and clinical practice partnership development and application of utilization management skills and strategies
