Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Tier 1 HVAC Service
Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a high-level
technician with strong diagnostic abilities, leadership potential,
and the professionalism to deliver top-tier service. The Tier 1
Technician is responsible for advanced service work, system
commissioning, customer communication, and mentoring junior
technicians. Why work for Engineered Heating and Cooling? Minimal
(if any) after-hours calls or work. We have 24 hours to respond to
no-heat calls and 7 days for no AC. Predictable work/life balance.
We do new apartment construction and warranty our work for 1 year.
The majority of our service work is on equipment that is less than
1 year old. Company vehicle and big-ticket tools provided
(reclaimer, vacuum pump, etc.). Most of our work is for apartment
complexes. Our point of contact is typically a maintenance person,
not a homeowner. No upselling or any sales on-site whatsoever. A
big majority of our service work is on package units (Magic Paks)
and split systems. Very few rooftops or complicated systems. 3%
retirement match Key Responsibilities • Diagnose, repair, and
maintain HVAC equipment, including furnaces, split systems, package
units, rooftops, and zoning systems. • Work with high and low
voltage electrical components. • Assist with installations as
needed. • Commission systems, complete air balancing (training
provided if needed). • Call customers directly and schedule your
own appointments. • Complete and submit warranty claims accurately.
• Manage small jobs and mentor another technician. • Maintain clean
work areas, vehicles, and documentation. • Communicate effectively
with customers and office staff. Qualifications • Strong mechanical
and electrical diagnostic skills. • Experience with zoning,
rooftops, furnaces, and split systems. • Ability to work with low
and high voltage safely. • Commissioning and air balancing
experience (or willingness to learn). • Ability to mentor a junior
technician. • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. • EPA
608 certification required (Universal preferred). Company
