Job Title: Quality Inspector Grand Rapids, MI 1st Shift Work
Schedule: Monday - Friday : 8:00AM - 4;30PM Job Description:
Position Overview: Reports to the Quality Supervisor. Offers
inspection support for both Receiving and Final inspection,
including month end shipments as needed. Inspects product by means
of manual layout, caliper and micrometer checks, plug and pin gage
inspection, etc. with proficiency. Performs tasks using Windows
based software such as Excel and Word. Evaluates product compliancy
through proper understanding of blueprints and GD&T. Please
note, certain duties performed by this role require this position
to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate
and are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing. In this function
you will: Provide inspection support for both Receiving and Final
Inspection. Inspect product per blueprint requirements in
accordance with the current quality procedures. Evaluate product
compliancy through a thorough understanding of industry
specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T. Prepare and
completes First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 requirements.
Conduct Assembly Floor Layer Process Audits as well as 5S audits to
ensure a safe and productive working environment focused on
producing quality product. Support as needed to meet our customer
demands at month end. Qualifications - External Required (Basic)
Qualifications: Must have three (3) years experience working in a
manufacturing environment. Must have minimum one (1) year
experience in a quality department setting. Experience evaluating
product compliancy through a thorough understanding of industry
specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T within the last 5
years. Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection. Experience
with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have a High School
Diploma or GED Equivalent from an Accredited Institution. Must be
able to work in the Client States without corporate sponsorship now
and within the future. This position requires use of information or
access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in
Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within
the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen,
U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political
Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation benefit is being offered for this
position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Grand Rapids,
Michigan will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member
candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Ability to read, understand and follow product specifications,
drawings, and work orders in English Preferred qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years experience in receiving inspection.
Experience writing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
Experience with AS9100 compliance. Extensive experience with
Microsoft applications. Certified training in blueprint reading and
GD&T. Experience with SAP.
