Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide productivity, quality, and capacity improvements within a beverage filling and packaging manufacturing environment through mechanical and control systems optimization, production support, and capital project support. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for ensuring that engineering and safety standards are followed, evaluating and applying new and emerging technologies, and leveraging an external view to obtain superior business results.--This position is located at our plant in Grand Rapids, MI.What you'll do:Improve production efficiency and uptime through identification and implementation of mechanical and controls optimization opportunitiesExecute troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activitiesProactively monitor and maintain Tetra Pak filling and packaging systemsCoach and train plant maintenance team members on Tetra Pak filling and packaging systems--What you will need to succeed:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.3+ years of experience with Tetra Packaging and Filling systems in the beverage industry.Programming experience with Control Logix PLCs.Knowledge of Tetra Pak capper vision systems.Proven ability in finding issues, conceptualizing practical solutions, implementing through to completion.Effective communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues in a business environment.Experience in creating flow charts, construction drawings, or other graphical methods to communicate intent to internal and external audiences.The ability to be effective working in a cross-functional team environment.Willing and able to occasionally work and be on call during non-typical hours (e.g. nights, holidays, and weekends).Preferred Qualifications10+ years of experience with Tetra Packaging, Filling and Distribution systems in the beverage industry.Tetra Pak A3 compact flex and A3 speed experience.Tetra Pak Cap30Flex Dream Cap and Cardboard Packer 32 experienceProven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Expertise across multiple technologies and ability to effectively provide project work direction to a broad range of team members.
