Job Description:
A. Responsible for new and existing product and manufacturing
engineering tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties:
Participate with other team members to launch new products and
improve manufacturing processes of existing products. This includes
new technology testing and evaluation, feasibility studies,
capacity analysis, and routing determination.
Meet assigned performance and financial objectives. Ensure the
quality of all products meet customer specifications.
Manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning process, including the
Production Part Approval Process, for assigned projects or programs
to completion that meet customer deadlines.
Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing
processes.
Train appropriate process stakeholders in new or improved process
requirements. Ensure trainee capability.
Complete all assigned engineering tasks accurately and timely,
including specifying, developing, validating, and installing new
equipment and tools; performing failure modes and effects analysis;
developing process control plans and process flow diagrams;
designing parts or fixtures; creating manufacturing cell layouts;
drafting CAD/CAM drawings; programming gages and machine tools; and
specifying materials and outside processes.
Assist sales team with engineering support, including preparing
estimates, quotes, and schedules.
Complete corrective action reports in a timely manner.
Perform the essential duties of team members as needed.
Travel to customer or vendor locations.
Comply with all EPC policy, procedure, and practice.
Work Environment:
Mixed office and production environment. Includes some lifting,
stooping, bending, reaching or grasping.
Lift at least 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical
engineering or related field of study.
Additional Qualifications:
1-10 years of prior experience in the essential duties listed
above.
Verbal and written communication skills to customer presentation
standards.
Excellent software skills, including Microsoft Office products, ERP
systems, and CAD/CAM systems.
Valid driver's license.
