Job Description:

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining up-to-date written and social content. The role includes identifying and implementing actions to continuously improve and grow social media impressions and interactions as well as increasing website visitors. This person may also assist with the creation of effective digital and printed content (i.e. photos, videos, and product features/benefits) to engage our intended audience in an informative and convincing way. They should have a proactive approach and an ability to independently manage a variety of functional tasks. Overall, the Marketing Communications Specialist will manage on and offline communication with customers to increase brand awareness. -Responsibilities:

  • Generate 4-5 posts per week on GP Reeves social media.
  • Create and manage a newsletter schedule to keep in contact with our existing and potential customer base.
  • Write case studies and other technical articles about current or previous GP Reeves projects to ensure company blog is consistent and up to date.
  • Monitor website analytics and constantly work to improve SEO/SEM practices.
  • Assist with advertising campaign creation and monitoring.
  • Help with the creation of scripts and captions for video content.
  • Analyze marketing-related trends within the manufacturing industry to ensure GP Reeves social objectives are competitively proficient.
  • Upholds branding guidelines during content creation.
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Occasional overtime or changes in normal shift may be necessary based on customer orders including weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned/necessary. We have a flexible environment where we enjoy working together as a team to do a variety of tasks throughout the facility to fulfill customer jobs. -Required Education and Experience:
    • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or something similar with 2+ years of experience in content creation.
    • Experience working with a team and improving KPI performance.
    • Ability to think strategically, understand business/financial data, adopt a strong willingness to learn, and develop/execute improvement plans.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues for long-term improvement.
    • A balance of strategic and tactical skills with high energy and sense of urgency.
    • Basic understanding of email marketing software (MailChimp).
    • Working knowledge of website architecture & digital marketing platforms (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn) as well as social media scheduling software (Hootsuite)
    • Experience with most if not all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Understands the importance of asking for help, taking initiative, and pursuing goals with full vigor.
      Preferred Skills:
      • Understanding of B2B marketing and relevant best practices,
      • Experience working with an industrial or manufacturing company.
      • Experience with WordPress.
      • Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud.
