Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant Location: Kalamazoo, MI Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year Work Schedule: 8-hour shift (Flexible schedule available) Position Summary A growing organization in Kalamazoo is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant to support its accounting and financial operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a solid foundation in technical accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth financial analysis , including forecasting, budgeting, variance and trend analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities Design and maintain advanced financial models and scenario analyses to project financial performance Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) , translating data into actionable insights for leadership Perform month-end and year-end close activities , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed asset management Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance for cost analysis , job costing, and pricing initiatives Prepare and present clear, compelling financial reports to senior management-highlighting variances, trends, and strategic recommendations Assist in annual budgeting , periodic forecasting, and ongoing financial planning processes Identify financial risk areas and propose mitigation strategies to enhance the company's financial controls and stability Support audit and tax preparation , including documentation, internal control testing, and liaison with external auditors Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives , including automation, system enhancements, and standard operating procedure documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,(Required) 3 years of accounting or finance experience (Required) Public accounting experience preferred We believe great people deserve great perks.
