Bank.GENERAL FUNCTION:
- Serve as Trust Advisor for clients with more than $5MM in
investable assets
- Work with Private Bank Team to identify fiduciary opportunities
and solutions
- Work with Private Bank Team to implement fiduciary
strategies
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor by developing close, personal
relationships with the clients and their families, anticipating
clients' wealth planning and Private Bank service needs and
coordinating external and internal advisors to accomplish
- Actively participate with the Private Bank team to develop,
interpret, communicate an facilitate complex estate planning
matters as part of the advice-based solutions presented to
clients
- Advise 50- 75 households comprised of approximately 250- 300
accountsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- On behalf of Fifth Third Bank as Trustee understand and
administer fiduciary accounts in accordance with the governing
documents for trusts over $1MM
- Ensure adherence to all fiduciary rules, regulations and
internal governance throughout the administration of the trust
- Cultivate relationships with local centers of influence
including attorneys and accountants to identify both current and
future opportunities for Fifth Third Bank to serve as Trustee,
Successor Trustee, Executor or Personal Representative.
- Generate new fiduciary and Private Bank IM&T
- Manage the due diligence process on all new fiduciary
appointments
- Demonstrate sound complex decision making skills
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and changes in the
industry with regard to fiduciary matters (e.g. estate planning and
probate, estate, gift and income tax planning, guardianships,
special needs trust, state-specific laws)
- Develop subject matter expertise in fiduciary related
areas
- Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas
and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies
and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right
thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and
behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating
within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently
identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks
of all types.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree required
- Graduate degree (JD,MBA) preferred
- Professional designee (CTFA or similar)
- 10 years of demonstrated fiduciary client service/sales
- Advanced knowledge of trust administration, estate planning
strategies, and income and estate tax mattersSenior Trust
