additional acquisitions expected to close in the coming months. The
Agency Accounting Associate role will be based in Grand Rapids,
Michigan and will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and
Accounting working closely with other Finance and Accounting
members and the Corporate Controller in a team centric

contribution we makePosition SummaryThe Agency Accounting Associate
will have day-to-day "hands on" responsibility for working with
agency partners to provide technical advice, guidance and formal or
informal training in agency accounting to improve their accounting
knowledge and maintenance of their agency management systems to
ensure accurate data for the corporate accounting financial
reporting requirements. This position will also work closely with
the Agency Accounting Manager on development and implementation of
continuous improvement of processes.This role provides a
competitive compensation and benefit package, including medical

salary.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with reconciliations and
clean-up of balance sheet general ledger accounts in agency
management systemsCompare agency management system balances to
corporate general ledger balances for the same agencyBank Balances
and ReconciliationsCarrier PayablesAccounts
ReceivableProducer/Broker PayablesAssist with general ledger
reconciliation of agency management system accounts with the Epic
conversion team during the conversion process for verification of
opening system balancesAssist with entry of bank account balances
and detailAssist with entry of producer/broker payables and
deferred payable balancesReview corporate financial statements for
verification of all accounts to be maintained in the agency
management systemAssist with full accounting for agencies when
necessaryTemporary or PermanentAll aspects of agency accounting not
limited to accounts payable, payroll recording, cash receipts,
accounts receivable, carrier payables, producer/broker payables,
direct bill recording, month end reporting.Other ad hoc projects as
requested by managerDesired CompetenciesTeam-first orientation -

mature character.1-3 years of successful experience in a similar
position.Familiarity and hands-on experience with multiple agency
management and accounting systems.High proficiency with Microsoft
Excel, as well as Outlook and Word.Flexibility to work in a largely
paperless environment.Required High School Diploma or
equivalentPreferred Associate's Degree or equivalent /Technical
school or equivalentExperience with EPIC, NetSuite, Quick Books
