PURPOSEManages and directs organization's accounting best practices for all locations. This position supervises, monitors, and evaluates all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES--- Accountable to lead and identify best accounting practices throughout the company.--- Executive Payroll and special payroll processing--- Set-up and maintain direct deposit information--- Partner with Payroll specialist on employee garnishments, friend of the court, city tax withholding - monthly and quarterly--- Bank reconciliation--- Partner with Safety Director on workers compensation issues including workers comp audit.--- Partner with CEO and HR Director on Health benefits annual review/open enrollment--- Labor rate calculations for estimators on projects.--- Check balances of GL accounts associated with Payroll.--- Experience with Foundations Accounting software preferred.--- Complete the following reports and audits:o Quarter 941 tax reportso W-2 review and distributeo State tax reporting and payment of withholding monthly - CO, AL, IN, MIo Review, Filing and payment of monthly and yearly Sales Tax and Withholding formso Review, Filing and distribute online of W-2 formso AP entries from automatic bank withdrawalso 5500 for Welfare Benefit Plano 5500 and Audit for 401k Plano 5330 Excise tax filing and paymento 8955-SSA filing and employee mailingo EEO-1 Filingo 941 Quarterly filing for withholding taxeso 940 FUTA quarterly and yearly filingo 1099 review and filing with IRSo CM reportso General Liability Yearly Audito US DOL - FLSA Audit--- Supervisor responsibility across multiple locations for accounts receivables, accounts payables, and Payroll.--- Develops business plan with Sr Management group and implements plan.--- Monitors company performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.--- Manages data for score cards for accountability.--- Supervise employees and provide insight to improve efficiency using data.--- Monitors and reviews company performance against company monthly, quarterly, and yearly objectives. Gives insightful feedback about trends.--- Projects cash flow and communicates cash needs.--- Works with 401K team to ensure compliance.--- Oversees the accounting, human resources, and warehouse departments.--- Analyze business plans and strategies with company forecasts and goals.--- Monitors procedures and processes for efficiency and implementing recommendations for improvement.--- Oversight of company resources.--- Maintains good relationships with employees.--- Represents the company at networking events and conferences.--- Monitors budgeted financial performance benchmarks.--- Assists in setting cost parameters, budgets, campaigns, and potential ROI.--- Maintains confidentiality of all employees, company, and vendor/client information.--- Research market and industry trends, adjusts business trajectory as needed.--- Coordinates with executives, department heads, etc. to align goals, make improvements, and strategize.--- Adheres to legal guidelines and local, state, and federal laws--- Builds trust and long-term relationships with managers, executives, vendors, and clients.--- Works with finance team to ensure compliance.--- Looks for trends in costs to foresee issues with jobs.--- Has a passion for budgets and review of finer points of cost accounting.--- Leads areas of responsibility modeling leadership as support functions to the business.--- Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services.--- Prepare monthly financial budgeting reports including profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and work in progress reports weekly.--- Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.--- Monitors financial performance of projects, measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.--- Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.--- Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements, partnered with the business manager and CEO.--- Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.--- Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
